The newly established cultural hub, TOKYO NODE, located on the upper floors of Toranomon Hills Station Tower in Tokyo, hosted the commemorative exhibition 『MIKA NINAGAWA Eternity in a Moment』, which concluded on February 25, 2024, with resounding success, drawing over 250,000 visitors. This immersive exhibition, led by photographer and filmmaker Mika Ninagawa in collaboration with the creative team EiM, featured 11 works, including video installations, photography, and sculptures, marking it as the largest-scale presentation of her career to date.

※EiM: is a creative team formed by photographer and filmmaker Mika Ninagawa, data scientist Hiroaki Miyata, set designer ENZO, and creative director Isao Kuwana. The group operates flexibly, assembling diverse teams tailored to each project.

This original Roadstead documentary takes viewers on a reflective journey through the exhibition venue, guided by Mika Ninagawa, set designer ENZO, and creative director Isao Kuwana. Alongside an exclusive interview with Mika Ninagawa, the documentary provides an in-depth look at the production and installation process, highlights from video works created within the exhibition space (such as the collaboration with noh performer Hisashi Uzawa, "KOCHO"), and an engaging interview with renowned gallerist Tomio Koyama.

About Mika Ninagawa

Mika Ninagawa Photographer, film director

Focusing on photography, she also works on many films, videos, and spatial installations. She is also active as a member of the creative team "EiM". Recipient of numerous awards including the Kimura Ihei Photography Award. In 2010, a photo book was published by Rizzoli N.Y. She has directed five feature films including “Helter Skelter” (2012) and “Diner” (2019), as well as the Netflix original drama “FOLLOWERS” (2020). She has published over 120 photo books, held over 150 solo exhibitions, and 130 group exhibitions, and continues to actively present her work both domestically and internationally. The solo exhibition "Mika Ninagawa Exhibition: Eternity in a Moment" (TOKYO NODE December 2023 - February 2024) attracted 250,000 people. “Mika Ninagawa Exhibition with EiM: Light on the Higan, Shadow on this Shore” will be held at the Kyocera Museum of Art, Kyoto City from January 11, 2025.
