Story

Matsuoka is a teacher at a culinary school. One day, a student, Tashiro, says something strange during the lesson: “There’s a noise, it’s like a chime. Someone is sending me a message.” The people running the school warn him that Tashiro’s a little odd, but Matsuoka isn’t bothered by it at all and continues treating him normally. However, on another day, Tashiro says, “Half of my brain has been replaced with a machine,” and takes drastic action to prove it. Some days after the incident with Tashiro, Matsuoka is teaching a female student, Akemi. Matsuoka continues teaching unenthusiastically but when she complains that a whole chicken leaves her feeling uncomfortable something incomprehensible overtakes him. Both at the school and at home, a strange dread begins to undulate in his ordinary existence…

料理教室の講師として働いている松岡卓司。ある日、レッスン中に生徒の1人、田代一郎が「チャイムのような音で、誰かがメッセージを送ってきている」と、不思議なことを言い出す。事務員の間でも、田代は少し変わっていると言われているが、松岡は気にすることなく接していた。しかし別の日の教室で、田代が今度は「僕の脳の半分は入れ替えられて、機械なんです」と言い出し、それを証明するために驚くべき行動に出る。田代の一件後のある日、松岡は若い女性の生徒・菱田明美を教えていた。淡々とレッスンを続ける松岡だったが、丸鶏が気持ち悪いと文句を言う明美に、彼は――。松岡の身にいったい何が起きたのか。料理教室で、松岡の自宅で、ありふれた日常に異様な恐怖がうごめき始めたのだった…。

Roadstead - DVT platform

Unlike streaming platforms offering unlimited viewing, Roadstead’s biggest selling point is that it treats films which only exist online as a physical item just like a DVD. Not only can the user enjoy watching the movie, but they can sell it to someone else or earn income by renting it out. Without exception, all the films we’ll be releasing will be limited editions and have a serial number attached. They can only be used by the person who purchased them. In addition to enjoying the movie, users can participate in its distribution (trading) through buying and selling with the rights fees returned to the exhibitor from the takings. The user is no longer simply a consumer, but can directly support the exhibitor’s activities financially. By expanding the Web3-like concept as the world’s first “DVT” or Digital Video Trading platform, Roadstead hopes to offer filmmakers fair compensation and a sustainable creative space.

「DVT」（Digital Video Trading / デジタル・ビデオ・トレーディング）とは、映像作品を「消費する一過性のコンテンツ」ではなく、「コレクションする価値ある資産」として扱う、Roadstead が提唱する映像流通の新しい枠組みです。映像を数量制限なく配信するプラットフォームと違い、オンライン上に存在する映像作品をDVDと同じように一意で固有のものとして扱い、ユーザーは作品を視聴して楽しむだけでなく、コレクションして、第三者とトレードしたり、交換したり、プレゼントすることができます。出品される映像は全てにシリアルナンバーが付与されており、購入した方だけが観られるセキュリティが施された上でトレードが可能で、ユーザー同士のトレードの売上からもクリエイターに権利料が還元される仕組みになっています。これにより、ユーザーは単なる消費者ではなく、クリエイターの活動を経済面で直接的に支援するサポーターになることができるのです。 Roadstead は、このWeb3 的な概念を、世界初の映像流通の枠組み「DVT」として広めていくことで、クリエーターに正当な対価と持続的な創作活動の場を提供していきたいと考えています。
